# AI Prompt Engineering for the Workforce

Canonical URL: <https://training-nyc.com/courses/ai-prompt-engineering-workforce>

## Overview

Responsible use of generative AI tools at work is the subject of this practical introduction. Participants gain a high-level picture of how AI language models operate, along with the skill to compose prompts, sharpen them, and assess the results for clarity and usefulness.

Demonstrations, guided activities, and examples drawn from real work give participants direct practice applying AI to writing, analysis, summarization, and problem-solving. Multimodal prompting also comes under discussion, as do familiar AI limitations such as hallucinations and bias, and the guardrails that keep use accurate, ethical, and secure.

## What you'll learn

- Grasp the way generative AI models read a prompt and form a response.
- Compose prompts that are clear and effective for everyday workplace tasks.
- Use prompt design techniques that raise both accuracy and relevance.
- Iterate on a prompt until the results improve.
- Recognize and limit common risks in AI output, hallucinations included.
- Put responsible AI habits into practice on the job.
