# AI for UX & UI Design (Self-Paced)

Canonical URL: <https://training-nyc.com/courses/ai-ux-ui-design-online>

## Overview

You can add AI to a UX practice and still keep design judgment, accessibility, and user control intact. Building a reusable AI-powered UX workflow is the spine of this self-paced course, and that workflow carries a project out of research and product thinking into design, prototyping, and evaluation.

The exercises center on a focused sample project, and beside it you build an AI workspace that expands as the project grows. AI helps you organize and analyze the research, work out what a suitable AI-powered experience should be, lay out an inclusive user flow, and translate that flow into a working prototype. Realistic situations then put it under test, you assess how good the AI-generated output is, and you sharpen the design and your AI instructions in response to what you find.

By design, the course avoids attaching itself to one model or one vendor. What matters here are transferable workflows and responsible AI use, both of which apply equally in Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Figma Make, and other AI development environments.

## What you'll learn

- Create a reusable AI workspace that holds up your UX process across research, prototyping, and testing
- Put AI to work sorting research, revealing patterns, and forming product opportunities that rest on evidence
- Translate research findings into problem statements, user journeys, user stories, and feature priorities
- Determine the points at which AI should act, assist, recommend, seek approval, or return control to the user
- Lay out inclusive AI-powered experiences that anticipate accessibility, uncertainty, errors, correction, and recovery
- Move structured Figma designs into interactive prototypes by way of AI-assisted development tools
- Try AI-powered experiences out on realistic situations, such as incomplete information and output that is incorrect or uncertain
- Weigh AI-generated work against design quality, accessibility, consistency, trust, and user control, then improve it
- Set up a repeatable Agentic AI workflow that will serve your future UX projects

## Prerequisites

This advanced course assumes you are a UX designer or a graduate of the UX & UI certificate program, that the UX process is familiar to you, and that you can work on your own in Figma.
