# AI for UX & UI Design

Canonical URL: <https://training-nyc.com/courses/ai-ux-ui-design>

## Overview

AI can enter the UX design process without any loss of design judgment, accessibility, or user control, and this course shows you how. Across three days at an advanced level, you construct a reusable AI-powered UX workflow that carries research, product thinking, design, prototyping, and evaluation.

A focused sample project anchors the work, and you set up an AI workspace that expands as the project does, apply AI to the organization and analysis of research, settle on an appropriate AI-powered experience, lay out an inclusive user flow, and convert your designs into a working prototype. Testing against realistic scenarios follows, along with judging AI-generated output and tightening both the design and your AI instructions according to what the results show.

No single AI model or tool sits at the center of the course. The attention goes instead to transferable workflows and responsible AI use, which hold up in Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Figma Make, and other AI development environments.

## What you'll learn

- Establish a reusable AI workspace that backs your UX process at every point from research to prototyping and testing
- Apply AI to sort research, spot patterns, and shape product opportunities grounded in evidence
- Convert what the research shows into problem statements, user journeys, user stories, and feature priorities
- Decide the moments when AI should act, assist, recommend, ask for approval, or hand control back to the user
- Create inclusive AI-powered experiences with accessibility, uncertainty, errors, correction, and recovery all taken into account
- Take structured Figma designs and produce interactive prototypes from them using AI-assisted development tools
- Put AI-powered experiences through realistic situations, among them incomplete information and output that is wrong or uncertain
- Review and improve AI-generated work against design quality, accessibility, consistency, trust, and user control
- Produce a repeatable Agentic AI workflow that transfers to your later UX projects

## Prerequisites

UX designers and graduates of the UX & UI certificate program are the intended audience for this advanced course, and they should already understand the UX process and be able to work on their own in Figma.
