## Overview

VBA, Visual Basic for Applications, is the programming language built into Excel, and it is the difference between doing a task every week and writing it once. This course covers VBA fundamentals through real applications of macros and automation rather than abstract exercises.

You will start with security settings and recording macros, then learn to read and analyze the code that recording produces, which is the fastest way into the language. From there you will program basic macros yourself and build up to complex ones, working with variables, looping statements, logic statements, and user forms. You will finish able to automate repetitive operations, create custom commands, and write your own worksheet functions.
