## Overview

If you are managing large datasets in Excel and spending too much time keeping worksheets in order, Access is built for exactly that problem. It handles large volumes of data and generates reports far faster than a spreadsheet can, and this course covers it from the ground up: creating databases and tables, building queries, and producing reports.

You will move from navigating and configuring the environment into relational database design, joining tables to pull related data together, and validating entries so errors do not accumulate. The later material covers advanced queries for real analysis and best practices that keep a database performing well as it grows. You will also learn to share data with other applications, including sending it back to Excel when a chart is what you need.

For most of our design and motion graphics courses, we will help you get set up with a free trial of Adobe Creative Cloud. If you attend the course in-person, we will have a computer already set up for you with all of the required software for no additional cost.
