# Microsoft Project Level I (Self-Paced)

Canonical URL: <https://training-nyc.com/courses/microsoft-project-level-i-self-paced>

## Overview

This beginner course covers the core features of Microsoft Project Professional and, importantly, how to use them in a real working environment rather than a tidy example. You will start with the project management concepts the software assumes you already know, then move into defining a project properly at the outset, which is where most plans go wrong.

From there you will enter tasks and work out the relationships between them, manage resources across a schedule, and optimize a plan before committing to it. You will set baselines so you can tell later whether the project actually drifted, and share plans with the people who need them. It suits anyone juggling several projects or needing firmer control over costs and resources.
