“I recently took the QuickBooks Online version in person. Classes are small so you get real personal experience for asking a question and getting a response from the instructor. They provide a PC. My instructor's name was Paul, I thought he was wonderful! Besides having full knowledge of the QBO course, he himself is a Bookkeeper with extensive general accounting & tax knowledge! I really enjoyed the course with him. The course is 7 hours 10 am - 5:00 pm with an hour for lunch & 2 - 15-minute breaks. Believe me, it goes fast! Not sure if it was just that day I was there but they had bagels, toppings, and coffee for breakfast and put out snacks during the breaks which was a nice touch! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend and when I am ready to take another course, I wouldn't have to search for another institution.”

The in-class exercises were all in one multi-tab spreadsheet which included step-by-step instructions for almost all of these, and you send the spreadsheet with any notes you made to yourself at the end of the day for future reference. No wasted time. Plenty of opportunity for questions. “Took the two day Financial Modeling Bootcamp. Extremely informative and useful. Smaller class size allows for one on one help and enables you to really understand the material you are working through. Additionally you build out a model on an actual company during the course, allowing you to perform the same kind of analysis you would use in a real office setting, as opposed to looking at generic accounting problems. Office itself is very nice, and the professors are extremely well informed. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to develop, sharpen, or reestablish their financial modeling skills.”

The class was small, so he made extra effort to make sure our individual needs were met. He had many examples to test out the tools in real time, printed takeaway material, and his contact information for questions later. Everything is very easy to understand and the instructor works with students to make sure they are following the main concepts. The entire day was structured into lessons and Scott covered each lesson in detail. The class was very interactive, he asked us questions throughout the day to keep our attention going, and asked refresher questions on any new tips we learned. He had all PowerPoint presentations ready and was really knowledgeable and well prepared. “I learned quite a few new functions in Powerpoint in the class. However, I would have liked the instructor to have incorporated exercises after each topic to reinforce the various topics covered in the class. While the functions taught were easy to grasp, I learn most effectively through actually doing. The instructor rushed through the topics to finish the course three hours early, which would have been fine if I hadn't paid for a seven hour class. Either the class length needs to be shortened and the price lowered accordingly, or the instructor needs to find a way to fill the seven hours scheduled for that class. ”

The level was just right for me. Karen showed us so many shortcuts that are going to make my life easier and we did nested formulas that helped me understand the real potential of Excel. We also did worksheet and workbook linking and just learned some of the "rules" there that always throw me off. Karen was fun and kept the class going, there wasn't lag time and I felt I was constantly learning. The pivot table part was awesome--obviously, cuz Pivot Tables are dope! Also, at the end of the class you get to keep your workbook, which is broken down by lessons so it's going to be awesome to have handy. Thanks, NYIM!”

“Would give way more than 5 stars if this was possible. Signing up was easy, and I was emailed confirmation within seconds. I got further email reminders before the date of the actual class. One of the emails said that I did not have to bring anything except myself to the class, meaning that pens, paper, workbooks, coffee and water would be supplied. Do not expect a cappuccino bar, but the fact that there was coffee available was very nice. Kaye was wonderful and answered any questions I had previous to the class. The teacher Karen was phenomenal. She was very eloquent, clear, patient and knew the material fluently. She also was extremely helpful and patient with any questions asked during the class. The price for this class was exceptional. Additionally, there are free retakes for life should you desire that. The school is extremely easy to get to. The building is located right on Union Square. I do not have one negative thing to say about this class or the school. Exceeded my expectations.”

“Just finished a Photoshop course taught by Eugenio. Wow. He is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Although clearly a world-class expert, he was so wonderful with the class of beginners. “It was like a very condensed tin of soup - and thick in content, its full benefit is only revealed when you take time afterwards to dilute what you heard by practice, practice, practice. Like all food it has a use-by date, but I have never felt so inclined to put time aside as after this course. To continue the food analogy, it was a healthy and sustaining meal and chef Eugene deserves 5 stars and an accolade.”

“I was in one of the basic Photoshop/ Illustrator classes and found Mikelle to be knowledgeable, prompt to answer any of my questions and she was well versed in the subject. I had taken Illustrator classes previously and I think besides knowing the subject, she has the ability to teach it, especially since the classes were geared to flat sketching for the garment industry. I recommend her highly for basic Photoshop/Illustrator.”
