Sorting Data
Two methods exist for Sorting Data:
a) HOME >> Editing group >> Sort & Filter
b) DATA >> Sort & Filter group >> Sort
- Custom Sort
- Choose a column and the specific criteria in which to sort the data
- Values, Cell Color, Font Color, or Cell Icon
- Choose a column and the specific criteria in which to sort the data
- Multi-level Sort
- Perform a Custom Sort, then select "Add a Level" to add secondary sorting criteria
Filtering Data
Two methods exist for Filtering Data:
a) HOME >> Editing group >> Sort & Filter >> Filter
b) DATA >> Sort & Filter group >> Filter
- Number Filter
- Apply a specialized number filter to value data
- Date Filter
- Apply a specialized date filter to date data
- Subtotals
- The Subtotal command can calculate totals for sorted or grouped data
- DATA >> Outline group >> Subtotal
