Excel Calculations

All formulas must begin with an equal sign:

Ex. =CellReference1 Operator CellReference2

Operators used in formulas:

• Addition (+)
• Subtraction (-)
• Multiplication (*)
• Division (/)

To add two or more cells, use the SUM function: 

=SUM(cell reference1:cell reference2)

All formulas must follow the Order of Operations rule sometimes known as PEMDAS (Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally)

4. Add and Subtract
