Why Attend Excel Classes at NYIM?
There are a lot of options available when looking to learn Excel. What separates the programs from one training center from another? There are a variety of factors that can come into play, and it is worth taking a little bit of time thinking about what you want from your training experience.
Each course at NYIM includes the Excel workbook file that you use during the course and an accompanying manual that describes each exercise in detail. You’ll have the expertise and diversity of the Excel instruction team, which is not composed of full-time Excel trainers, but rather industry professionals that have transitioned to the instructor role from a large variety of backgrounds and companies. This same team meets regularly to discuss updates and changes to our Excel curriculum to provide a service we can all be proud of.
There are also after-class resources for students included. Each student at NYIM is entitled to a free retake of the course. Students that take advantage of this often cite the need to refresh their skills periodically—especially those skills that they do not use regularly in their careers.
Beyond the free retake, we also provide lifetime access to an online video suite of the same content. The video suite allows users to watch individual videos (and download the individual worksheet files) or to retake the entire course online, as often as they wish. Excel is easily one of the best forms of professional development in terms of return on investment.
At NYIM we also focus heavily on efficiency. Our courses are logically organized with demonstrations, practice, and independent mini-projects strategically placed throughout. Our goal is not just for you to learn, but for you also to retain what you learn and our learning model supports this.
